An AJ a Day?

It's the time of year that everyone makes resolutions. I do too, and usually they dwindle to nothing in a few months. In spite of this fact, I am going to give it a go. Things in my art world are picking up. I sold my first wall art piece! It is a 24x24 Steampunk Mixed Media piece and I am rather proud of it.
I am also selling a few tags and cards along the way. I have a mini album that I am working on for commission. So with all this going on, I still think I can do a page a day. Pipe Dream. But isn't that what life is about? Dreams? Good ones... :-)

I just uploaded some new Art Journal pages so please take a look!  Link is at the top of this page.

Inspiration for a journal page.

I just love this! I don't have anything to add, this says it all!

Need... More... Time!

So little time. Well, I guess that is not true since I retired, but there is still so many things I want to create! I wish I was a better blogger, but it just seems hard to do with pp on my lap and scissors in my hand. I am going to spend a little time putting up pics of my recent creations. I have Journal pages, LOs, and other projects to add to this story of my creative life, so take a look, lift away, borrow any and or all of my elements and just relax for a moment. Then go be creative:-)

Stay groovy,

Limor's Workshop

I will admit it. I am becoming addicted to watching Limor Webber on Tuesday nights on UStream. She does a live show and I am learning so much! Her workshops contain everything from ShabbyChic mini books to the cutting edge Industrial Chic. She is very talented and down to earth, and that helps me so much. She also just got hired by Prima, and her first workshop is in Israel in a few weeks. I wonder if she can pack me to go too?

I have been working in my Art Journal quite a bit lately. It is really freeing to create something and know I can just paint over it and start again if I don't like it. Here is my latest:

13 @rts Layout

I had such fun creating this layout. The paper is from Poland, by a great company called 13@rts.

First off, for anyone that doesn't already know the story, this is my son and his bride to be on their engagement night. He ordered 50 Chinese Lanterns, invited almost a hundred people, and he went to St Louis to ask permission from her parents :-). About 70 people showed up, and we gathered in a soccer field to wait for her roommates to bring her there. We stood in a huge circle and let the lanterns go when she said yes. The lanterns slowly and gently drifted up into the night. What a nice reminder that romance never goes out of style.

He saved one lantern back for photo ops. Yes!

Supplies Used:
Trust me, you need to check out this paper line. You can buy from their store or from Flying Unicorn, of course.
TFL!

Hello Friends! I am going to give it another shot and try to blog again. I could spend a ton of time dreaming up excuses like Christmas came...then New Years, before that was Thanksgiving, my dog Amos ate it (now THAT is a possibility!) but instead I am just going to give it another shot.

I have been busy crafting and scrapbooking and I have dedicated more and more of my time to my Art Journal. I have met some truly kind women online that have encouraged me to try all kinds of new techniques, and I will be sharing how to get to those tutorials so you can see for yourself.

I am still a proud member of the best Paper Crafting Forum on the web, Flying Unicorn! I am thrilled to be a part of this drama-free zone. The Creative Team is truly talented, and I am also hoping to have a guest post or two as the weeks go by. I am just learning so much and I love it! Join us! There are challenges going all the time where you can win RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness), tutorials, videos, Scrap Parties, Sketches of scrapbook layouts, blog hops, and soooo many examples of gorgeous work!
You won't know until you give it a shot, so go for it!

I am working on a LO using 13@rts papers. More on that soon!

Stay groovy,
Bitsy
